Oh my goodness! Only TWO months to PSWB 2023! What?!?!?!?!?!?!
Time flew by faster than a flamingo flock in the sky!
Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support Palm Springs Winter Break. We have a great flock coming in January, and we do still have space for more future flock mates (dancing friends) to register. We are at about 70% capacity right now. Can’t wait ‘til we fill that fluffing gorgeous dance floor in the Pavilion with our flockstar dance family!
Speaking of flockstars… I am so excited to announce the winner of the 2023 Palm Springs Winter Break Choreography Contest!
We had 21 entries across the Beginner and Open divisions, each vying for the bragging rights, prize packages, and teaching slots! I will post the full contestant list and links to their dances on the website in the next few weeks.
HUGE thank you to the judging panel - Jill Babinec, Simon Ward, Derek Steele, Rhoda Lai, and Kerry Maus - for the demo videos, plus Michael Barr & Michele Burton, Terri Slemmons, and Jamie Marshall for the instructional video judging. The contestants made our judges work hard!

The winner of the 2023 Palm Springs Winter Break Choreography Contest - Open Division, confirmed to join us and teach on Saturday at the 2023 PSWB is BRITT BERESIK!
And the winner of the 2023 Palm Springs Winter Break Choreography Contest - Beginner Division, confirmed to join us and teach on Sunday at the 2023 PSWB is BRITT BERESIK!!!!
No - that is NOT a typo.
Britt is a FLOCKSTAR! She scored in the top 3 contestants for the demo videos with “Dancin’ in the Country” for the Beginner Division and “WITCH” for the Open Division, which advanced her and two other contestants to the instructional video judging. The instructional video panel of judges ranked Britt as #1 for BOTH divisions.
Britt is a flamazing addition to our fabulous staff, joining our headliners Niels Poulsen and Roy Verdonk, along with DJ Megan Barsuglia. I hope you all are as excited as I am that she’s our 2023 PSWB Choreography Contest Winner - both divisions! Wow!
